Always beware WCs in the US summers. I don't know those two - but would guess there's a strong chance that they are some massively underranked university pair doing the annual summer trot through Futures and Challengers. Good to see Mr Bambridge and Mr O'Hare winning their first match - don't recall their playing together before ... have they?
Govind Nanda is a junior in the 2001 born as opposed to college sense as is Alexander a 99 verbally committed to Illinois. I wish them well but they are not a couple of ringers with suppressed rankings.

Interesting, Oakland. Thank you for that. Fortunate Illinois, it would appear!
Mr Bambridge and O'Hare's next opponents both are at university and underranked. Emil Reinberg hasn't set the world on fire in doubles, but Martin Redlicki is very, very good. I can't remember where I saw a clip of him playing (maybe when he and MacKenzie McDonald won the national championships a year or two ago?) but it was seriously impressive. Looking him up, I see he also won the US Open junior doubles.
Alexander Brown is a top 200 ITF junior he has also put out Ben Lott who as I am sure you know was one of our large British cohort at Drake, big difference in the standard between the conferences in which they play but yes should he go to the "fightin Illinois" he will be towards the top of the order in a strong programme playing in a power conference from the get go.
SF (1) Luke Bambridge & David O'Hare (IRL) CR 312 (173+139) defeated (3) Emil Reinberg & Martin Redlicki (USA/USA) CR 2489 (1023 + 1466... but see above) 6-2 6-4
Yes, good wins all week - and quite dominant by week's end. Which you would expect, given that they are really not Futures players. But it's always good when people live up to expectations!
