Weeks 27 & 28 - Wimbledon (grass) - ladies doubles

The reason Laura & Joss lost today was that they really struggled behind Joss's serve (the games on Laura's serve were all held easily). If they do continue to play together then it's something they need to work on. Joss serves and volleys on every point, and Laura is quite static at the net which gives the returning team an obvious target. As a result Joss ends up with lots of balls coming back at her feet.

As a partnership they did have some success with the Nottingham final and beating seeds here, so it would be could if they can continue playing as a pair.

Congratualtions once more to Jordanne Whiley, back together with Yui Kamiji, and back winning Grand Slams, taking the doubles title today from a set down against the in form Dutch second seeds, 2-6 6-3 6-0
