Well pleased for Joss and Laura. Plus a real positive for Laura after her singles win. Laura should be up into the top 150 now in doubles.

The Katies lost the 1st set but were a break up (*4-2) in the 2nd. Unfortunately, the 4th seeds have broken back though - 2-6 *4-4

Whoops I meant after her single's loss.

It's all these wins the Brits are having. I have win on the brain.

The two Katies did much better than I thought they would. Saw a bit of the match, and you could see when they went up early in the 2nd that it quite surprised their opponents. Well done - and hope they can come back even better next year.

Disappointing straight sets loss for Laura and Joss to not back up their round 1 win

Over and out

L32: (WC) Jocelyn Rae & Laura Robson CR 276 (96+180) lost to Makato Ninomiya & Renata Voracova (JPN/CZE) CR 120 (62+58) 6-4 7-6(4)

L32: Naomi Broady & Heather Watson CR 155 (74+81) lost (13) Kirsten Flipkens & Sania Mirza CR 57 (50+7) 6-3 3-6 6-4

Yes, disappointing from Joss & Laura. I thought they could do pretty well here and was buoyed by their R1 win. Very decent scoreline from Naomi & Heather, but they will no doubt be very disappointed about these last few games.

It seems a bit strange it's only tucked away on the mens discussion section but we still have two women left in the 3rd round of the mixed doubles - Heather and Joss Rae. So by the same means as last year, Heather has made the second week of Wimbledon again. And congrats to Joss and Ken Skupski too smile
