First 3 are tough draws. Even with Anna & Nicole's recent good record I'd give Joss & Laura a better chance of getting through to R2.

Sveta & Kiki is a pretty formidable scratch pair, and thus t proved, though, respectable for Anna & Nicole: 4-6 3-6

Much more important that they continue to maintain their level on the regular tour events, but a shame they didn't get a chance to cause a few waves in the biggest stage too.

Yes sorry to see Anna and Nicole go quite so quickly, hoped they might at least win one match to help their funding for the US circuit! But the other two are very good players and not the type of unseeded pair you'd really hope for. And hope too that Nicole can now engineer them some tournaments entries for the US hard court swing when their combined ranking isn't quite good enough yet to get them entries

Pity, but that did look a tough draw against a no doubt rather good and serious scratch pair.

Kiki has been to the final, SF and QF here the last three years with Babos twice and then Garcia. And won the French Open with Garcia last year. And indeed Svetlana, while having much less significant doubles history, reached the French Open SF last year ( with Gasparyan ), losing to Kiki and Caroline. They could do very well here.

As for Anna & Nicole, yes hopefully onward to a good American hard court swing.

Not a bad score for the two D's against the much higher ranked pair. Managed to watch the first set, and although not a high standard, was pretty close.

Early break in the second *0-3 and that's five out of the last six games they've lost
