So it looks like it will happen. Next season, the Davis and Fed Cups will end in a World Cup of tennis in November in Geneva in front of 18,000 screaming fans (yey!). It looks like the DC Semis and Final and Fed Cup Final and maybe the semis will take place there, with exact format to follow. Feels like it will be a 9 day event to me, not sure. 3 days for DC semis, 3 days Fed Cup final, 3 days DC final? Not entirely clear.
At least the Swiss are used to being neutral so better chance of getting a decent crowd there at least but I remain v sceptical on this whole concept!

Utterly impossible for the fans of participating nations. How do you go about booking tickets/flights/hotel etc for the final at three days notice ? Or do you book well in advance anyway and if your team loses in the SF, just don't bother to turn up and/or fly home early.
Sorry, but this just destroys the passion that surrounds the DC for me. I don't like it one bit.
