Just hoping the scoreline isn't another Specsaver moment for me. VAMOS.
Big hold from 15-40 in the opening game of the 4th.
For what it's worth, it so happens that I had to visit my local Specsavers this morning, as disaster had befallen my distance glasses for the umpteenth (& final) time: the right arm had come adrift & it wasn't just a screw that had dropped out. Rather a small section of the arm attaching it to the frame had broken off, which meant it couldn't be repaired. I therefore have to have the lenses, which are still OK, put into a new, slightly smaller frame (the old frame is no longer in production, so the lenses have to be cut to fit). I'm making do with the previous pair (repaired with thin strips of parcel tape, where it had snapped in almost the same place as the current ones...) & thanking God that I rely on my reading glasses to view images on my laptop... That said, I don't think you're imagining things!
Herbert then produced 5 very good first serves and they didn't get a return into court, having got to the 40-0 position by some magnificent play. Being harsh I'd say a couple of the returns could / should have been at least into court including the first MP but none were easy.
Now magnificently regrouped to be 5-2* up in the final set.
What an unbelievable result for the pair of them! When the match points came and went in the 4th I thought their chance had gone, delighted to be proved wrong! Well done to both of them, they played fantastically well.
