Think Daniil Medvedev could be in a spot of bother.
After complaining through the match about umpire overrules against him and asking for change of official in his eventual loss to Ruben Bemelmans, after the match he threw a number of coins at the bottom of the umpire's chair.
He seemed in huge reverse gear in his PC, that it was just in the heat of the moment after the match, meant nothing at all ( sure !! ), oh no no, he didn't think the umpire was biased and he would personally apologise to her if he saw her.
Got to say, Fognini was the match that immediately caught my eye when the draw came out as to the most obvious early stage threat. Not particularly optimistic about that one given Murray's form this season. He's beaten Murray on the big stage a few times already in the last couple of years.
Question - How do you pronounce Aljaz Bedene - I've heard at least 4 different versions today?
Hmm I think I know how to say it - but how to type it so it sounds right??....
Al-ee-ash Bed-a-nay
Might be completely wrong of course!! Happy to be corrected.
Think that pretty much nailed it, some variation between Al-ee-ash and Ally-ash depending on who is talking but as Ali is his nickname I would think the former seems more phonetically correct.
