So pleased for Alex. After all the frustrations and injuries he has suffered, I would love to see him win one more to qualify. And then .............

Delighted for Jay and in particular Alex. Already a nice points haul and pay-check, and one more win would turn that into a very tasty earner and a lovely stack of points.

Hoping it won't be relevant, but can anybody clarify the situation re: lucky losers at a slam? I assume our boys wouldn't be in with a shout as I guess it's at least partly ranking-related, is that correct?

Massively split loyalties for Liam and Marcus' match. I like Marcus, he's a great watch and I don't want to see him plummet down the rankings by failing to defend last year's points. On the other hand, Liam has certainly shown greater commitment to the game, both physically and otherwise, and I like the lad. Either way, wishing I could watch along!

Enjoyable from a tennis perspective, but from a loyalty perspective, I can hardly watch. I so want them both to do well.

I know what you mean there. Normally I'd have a slight preference either way but in this case, I can't make my mind up!!

Great wins for Jay and Alex - Alex has won matches he was only given 20% and 22% chances to win by the bookies too!

It means there will be 3 Brits in the Wimbledon men's final qualifying round for the first time this century The last time it happened, in 1999, all 3 went on to qualify and win at least one match in the main draw - Danny Sapsford went out to top seed Pete Sampras in R3 after beating two Spaniards, Arvind Parmar went out to 9th seed Greg Rusedski in R2 and Jamie Delgado just missed out on a match with Tim Henman, going out to Sebastian Grosjean in R2.

And it's one set each, for those who can't watch: 7-6 to Mr Willis in the 1st (which I didn't see) and 7-6 to Mr Broady - who saved three match points at 4-5 - in the second.

Marcus rather handed that tie-break to Liam - two double-faults at the start of the tie-break.
Entertaining stuff - as always

Just started watching Liam vs Marcus in that second set TB. I missed the MPs.

What a sight for sore eyes Marcus is, I heard he'd put back on some timber - gee, certainly has. Pity, could go so much further in the game, certainly further than Liam, but it's Marcus ...

Anyway, Liam, beat the fat chap please.

Has to be said it has been one way traffic since Marcus rather threw away his MPs by chucking in some brutal floated forehands for liam to slap away

Liam might represent the work ethic, but you can NEVER write Marcus off!
