Great chance for Emily to get through to semis (based purely on rankings). Only just caught up with this after excitement of today at Eastbourne and Roehampton. Good luck Emily!

Emily is back on court now, 2-0 up and she's had further BPs in the current game.

All over 7-6 6-4
That's a real shame. Thought Em might take that one.

She lost to junior Fran Jones in the Wimbledon wildcard playoffs so needs a bit of practice to get back up to her previous standard maybe.

I was surprised Emily seemed to have pulled out of all of next week's events, but it turns out she has managed to slip across the Scheldt estuary (and indeed the border) in time to sign in for qualifying at Middelburg 25K.

Perhaps two weeks in a row on the same surface will make a difference

Don't suggest Emily has 'slipped across the border'!
ICE won't let her back in to resume her education if they hear that!
