6-4 7-6(4) Great for Cam. 20 points and $10 grand. Gael Monfils up next. He's hitting the big time. Good for him. biggrin

To sum up:

L32:  Donald Young (USA) WR 47 defeated Kyle Edmund WR 48 by 6-4 3-6 6-3  cry

L32:  (WC) Cam Norrie WR 236 defeated Horacio Zeballos (ARG) WR 49 by 6-4 7-6(4)  ban-woohoo.gif

*****

L16:  (WC) Cam Norrie WR 236 vs (WC/2) Gaël Monfils (FRA) WR 16 (CH = 6 last November)

That should be quite an experience for the young man.  Best of luck to him.

So Cam won an ATP tour level match and this website goes into meltdown.

Reality: Chris Eaton 2.0

Why are you here, if you despise everyone so?

There is really no comparison actually. Chris Eaton did not star in college in the US, and was known mainly for his big serve. His highest ranking was 317 achieved probably at a similar age to Cameron now, but after two years playing as a pro. Cameron's live ranking after today's win is already 220, nearly another 100 places higher, and he is a much more complete all round player.

And just as Cam is no Chris Eaton - and no disrespect to Chris, who is coaching the rather successful doubles pair of John Peers and Henri Kontinen right now, nor are the pleasantly surprised congratulatory remarks here any meltdown.

Off topic but I don't think Eaton is coaching Peers anymore, think he's coaching at a college in the States.

I live in the UK and pay tax, therefore I am entitled to voice my concerns and opinion on the LTA's output, given that the LTA is funded by the taxpayer.

Also, the the UK is not a Islamic republic, we have freedom of speech.

Kyle is just not made for grass, the simple fact is that on grass, with the quick speed he cannot unwind his massive forehand, and also his movement, which has really improved, still can be caught out on the fast grass.

I don't think the question was one of free speech but more a case of why keep visiting a message board related to British Tennis when you seem to dislike every British player on the tour. Kind of like a vegetarian visiting a message board dedicated to Kentucky Fried Chicken, well within your rights but seemingly pointless and self defeating.

My take on that too, I've always thought it was just attention seeking, like a naughty child. Bad attention is better than no attention.

Wake Forest I think. Yeah I wasn't sure about sequencing and whether he was combining the two at all.
