Just wanted to second the Airbnb option. A quick google shows studios in the centre for £45 a night on that week. Ive just come back from Kraków and stayed in a great flat in the centre. Saves money on meals as well as you can self cater for the odd meal or two.
Kyle is down one place to WR 18 in the post French Open rankings. However not that far behind plenty, as he is closer in points to WR 12 than WR 19. 12. Carreno Busta 2145, 18. Edmund 1950, 19. Berdych 1715.
Though regards Wimbledon seedings, as things stand at the moment he is liable to drop below both Berdych and Djokovic ( if he plays ) when the grass points adjustment is applied. Hopefully he can have a good Queens and add good points there, effectively double points as far as seedings, for whatever the seedings bands will matter. Though of course hope for good grass form in itself for confidence prior to Wimbledon.
Appreciate all the advice on transport/hotels etc and will take it all on board. Nş 1 question though is, "will Kyle actually be there?". Until I know that for sure, there is no point me doing anything. It's nice to dream though. Trust me, I could really do with a holiday right now.
I also wonder if any of our other aspiring players might show up in qualies - Cam, Liam, Jay ? Or even Evo ? That would make any trip even more interesting.
The dream would be Cam and a reunification of the recent Estoril doubles winning team. I have had a week in Umag, which is a superb Tennis town, we stayed in the Tennis centre up the road ie. the venue is as you know just that but about a km away also on the beach (which is not so hot) is another 28 plus court (indoor, outdoor, clay and hard) tennis centre. I would recommend the eat as much as you like hotel as you enter the centre most of the year it is reasonably priced and you get the added bonus of a Butlins style broadway show/musical film by less talented red coat equivalents who mime their performance to an English backing track. Quite surreal after a couple of pints, has a Phoenix nights type quality.
There is a plusher adults only hotel right opposite which is less reasonably priced indeed probably ridiculously priced during the tournament and packed with players preparing for the 250. Well worth the trip regardless of who is playing.

As an aside, we all are aware that Wimbledon takes the top 32 players and then reranks them based on a grass court formula.
If they took the current top 32 players, Kyle would it seems come out as 20th seed currently and a couple of hundred points below the 16th player, so a little bit to do to get up into the top grouping of seeds - the link is the Wimbly Race according to OpenEra rankings

Raonic's defeat of Pouille in the Stuttgart SF means that Kyle will rise back up to 17 in the rankings on Monday.
Re Wimbledon seedings though it also brings Raonic into the top 32 and ahead of Kyle with the Wimbledon grass points adjustment and Pouille is also still ahead with the Wimbledon adjustment.
So Kyle will be WR 17 but currently #21 in the 'Wimbledon race', behind Pouille, Djokovic, Berdych and Raonic.
Kyle is holding steady at a live WR 17 on an unchanged 1950 points ( since his last counter was already 45 points ).
He will be well out of the top 16 Wimbledon seeds though once the grass adjustment is applied. As a result of his loss to Kyrgios he has now dropped to #22 in the Wimbledon seeds 'race' behind Nick and Mannarino is a QF win away from him dropping to #23. In theory potentially better if he at least keeps within the top 24 seeds to avoid being bracketed with a top 8 seed for the L32. Though it can all turn out different in practice. And indeed I see 9 to 16 in the seed race currently reads Isner, Goffin, Querrey, Berdych, Raonic, Djokovic, Schwartzman and Bautista Agut.
Clearly early days yet at Wimbledon but in the live rankings Kyle is up to 16 already. A win today will put him up at least one place, leapfrogging Bautista Agut, who is not playing Wimbledon and possible 2 places although I fancy Fognini to defend his position by beating Taro Daniel today.
With the new seeding structure coming in for Slams next year (?), a place in the Top 16 will become all that more important
Post Wimbledon rankings position now looking better for Kyle with the demise of Pouille. If Kyle can get past Klahn, he will be at 14 or 15 (depending on Fogini's R2 result). With the exception of Kyrgios, anybody else would have to make the SF at least to overtake Kyle. Of course there are players below him in the rankings who are perfectly capable of doing that - Djokovic, Raonic, Nishikori, to name just 3. As for Kyrgios, he would have to make R4.
So a victory over Klahn would give Kyle a very good chance of taking out his CH ranking.
