I thought Coco would be very up for this match and Jo would be hard pressed to do well.
I see it as a good thing for Jo to get some rest before Eastbourne and to get the experience of playing against a very powerful game before Wimbledon too. Hopefully her and her team will be able to come up with some ways in which she can combat that going forward.
Yes, given my big concern for Jo was her getting "tennised out" prior to Wimbledon or even picking up an injury while moving less than well and Coco on form is very good, not unduly concerned albeit it would have been nice to have got a bit closer.
The reporter did himself no favours. We've seen this a few times with media, I think it's usually general Sports reporters who have the 6 week interest in the sport who get shown up. Well done Jo for laughing it off.
A reporter basically asked Jo does she feel like the losses are piling up for her on grass. Her response, 'I made finals last week'

Oh dear and Coco was simply described as an "unseeded player". Not top 30 player, Wimbledon QF and L16 in the last 2 years and Aussie SFist this year, and a really good destructive player on her day ( and who some here called as the pretty likely winner before the match without undue alarm in all the circumstances ).
But what of that he had a clue about who knows. As Jaggy says no doubt more a general reporter, well at least I would hope so !

Anyone else - like me - going to Birmingham tomorrow for the semi-finals. If so have a good day. Las time I checked there might be a bit of rain but hope I'm wrong.
