week 24 - ITF ($100K) - Didsbury, Manchester, UK Grass

KD 6-4 *4-3 KS

HD 7-5 *2-5 MF

Harriet had a break point in that game.

It's good stuff, I'm enjoying it. KD just that bit more consistent than KS just now.

The other one could go either way, evenly matched.

Perched on top row between courts.

Owen is obviously the man on the scene but, from the livestream, it seemed that Katie S only really started playing with intensity and intent when down in the second set - up till then Katy D was the more pro-active and Katie's balls were a bit short (and with quite a few errors). When she started playing more positively, it looked very good.

KS levels the match winning second set 7-5... As I said it's the first time I've watched 2 players in the 300's play before but they both look pretty good to me and it's a really good match.

Harriet hung on to a long service game in the first game of the decider and then had 2 break points but it's back to Deuce.

Yes that's probably the case. I only arrived at the end of the first set. KD being up a break a few times in the 2nd set probably thinks she should have seen it out but KS did go for it more when she was up against it.

MTO in Harriet's match - since she's just lost 9 of the last 10 points, it's not looking good

HD getting frustrated, questioning calls (the calls were correct that I saw). Harriet now being broken to love for 2-1 in the decider and slipped losing the last point. Has requested the trainer but I think more out of disappointment than anything else.

HD has her right shoe and sock off so guess it's the ankle. I reckon she will be ok to carry on but is having a medical time out.

KS up 2-1 on serve in decider. It's very even and I couldn't choose which way this is going right now.
