Have to confess I know nothing about Barnaby, again Ebden no slouch on grass. Does tend to suffer from injury though.

I saw a little bit of his match at Shrewsbury. Very disappointed that he lost easily that day.

A number of fairly difficult draws in that lot, actually. Indeed, oddly, the 'seeds' in some ways look the best draw of the lot.

Lloyd takes the first set 12-10 in the breaker after Bolt made 2 UE's from *10-9 including a DF at 10-10. Good set of tennis to be fair.

After a horrible second set, Lloyd is now a break up in the third.

Great to see Lloyd get the win. First time he has won 3 in a row since Bangkok at the beginning of the year. Hopefully this is the start of things to come.

L32:  (WC) Jay Clarke WR 394 (= CH) vs (PR) Yuki Bhambri (IND) WR 231 (CH = 88 in November 2015)  bleh

L32:  (WC) Liam Broady WR 405 (CH = 158 in August 2015) vs (8) Illya Marchenko (UKR) WR 121 (CH = 49 last September)  bleh

L32:  (WC) Cam Norrie WR 230 (CH = 232 in February) vs Kenny de Schepper (FRA) WR 148 (CH = 62 in April 2014)  bleh

I assume that, after Dan's injury at Surbiton, his place will be taken by a lucky loser.

Qualifiers placed:

L32:  (5) Go Soeda (JPN) WR 108 (CH = 47 in July 2012 - he's now 32) vs (Q) Lloyd Glasspool WR 487  bleh

Evo still showing as the top seed...

All rankings updated.

Lloyd at least has a few decent matches under his belt, whereas Soeda doesnt, so could be an advantage to Lloyd. I wonder if Dan not withdrawing yet is to see how it calms down, maybe it isnt as bad as thought?

Dan was going for a scan today - I expect there will be some announcement soon if it isn't promising

Whatever the seriousness of Dan's injury, he won't be playing this week.  A badly  pulled calf takes many weeks to recover, and Dan's certainly looked bad. Once it is fully recovered, he will need to practise hard for a week at least.  Best case scenario for Dan is Wimbledon.  I feel really sorry for him.

It was tough . Average serve by him was 140 mph + . Although Finn aced him 6 times and they had 8 close games . Not so long ago he was a top 50 player - today he beat a top 300 player 0 & 1 . Proud of Finn and the fight In him . Back the Brits .
