In early matches Max lost 6-2 6-3 to the former Wimbledon boys champion while Daniel Bennett (who reached a Nottingham G4 semi whilst a junior) is struggling to get on the scoreboard, down 6-0 3-0

I would like to have seen Jay in qualifying. He is lacking matches and wins of late and could now especially do with getting going on grass.

Now has a fair chance of a very tough MD R1, a first round exit and little additional competitive time. Hope it goes otherwise though.

Ed had a slow start losing the first set 6-1 but has just levelled by taking the second 6-3
Barnaby and Sean have also split sets while James is 4-4 in the first

you're going to wear out that bleh - given Finn is unranked it would be hard for him to expect an easier match than against someone outside the top 200 even if it isn't a true reflection of his talent
