Thanks for reminding me! Just prompted me to get tickets. I live near here, so guess it's my local tournament. V excited! Anyone else going? I've got tickets for Tuesday.
It's my bi-annual post on this board, but I do lurk regularly.
Yes Surbiton is a 15 minute drive from Hersham where I live. Will be going tomorrow and Sunday for qualies, have Monday off work, and doing a half day Tuesday. Would be lovely to meet up with some of the usual suspects from here.
Is Laura still in qualies then? She was about #3 on list I think, so thought she might have been given a wc but qualies on grass should be exactly what she needs

Laura will not need a WC - there are at least 3 players in the main draw still involved at RG who will have been pulled out at the signing-in deadline
Lao is top seed in qualifying, and she was 10 on the acceptance list. So Laura and Katie B should be in the main draw. Katy D and Harriet may have got MDWC

Laura must have ended up as a direct acceptance, as mentioned above and none of the other Brits on the entry list can have scraped in because they were all below at least one of the players who is in qualifying. (Katie B was above top Q seed Lao on the main draw entry list but below 2nd Q seed Frech)
The only other Brits who would have been direct acceptances for qualifying but are not in the Q draw are GB 6-9 (2 of whom David has confirmed as WCs) and Sam Murray (who was 1st Alt for Q, so would definitely have made it into the Q draw), so I'd imagine all of GB 6-10 got main draw wild cards and Sam is a late withdrawal , unless one of GB 6-10 has picked up an injury and Sam has got their WC.

Yes, just possible (though unlikely) that Sam has one of the wildcards.
After all, she made the quarters here last year, trouncing Gabi T, 6-3 6-0, on the way.
That should count for something.....
It wasn't enough for her to get a wild card into Wimbledon qualifying last year, which was a lot more shocking than her not getting a main draw wild card here would be. Presumably, though, one of the three remaining (realistic) possibles is injured though, otherwise why wouldn't Sam be in the qualifying draw.
