Weeks 22 & 23 - French Open, Roland-Garros, Paris (clay) - doubles

L64:  André Begemann & Philipp Oswald (GER/AUT) CR 135 (67+68) vs Kyle Edmund & Dan Evans UNR (0 [but a CH of 713 in November 2014] +197)

L64:  (5) Jamie Murray & Bruno Soares (BRA) CR 17 (8+9) vs Janko Tipsarevic & Viktor Troicki (SRB/SRB) CR 630 (569+61)

L64:  Treat Huey & Denis Istomin (PHI/UZB) CR 214 (38+176) vs Robin Haase (NED) & Dom Inglot CR 153 (113+40)

Los López, Feliciano & Marc (6), are the defending champions.  John Peers & Henri Kontinen are the top seeds, PHH & Mahut second & the Bryans third.  I wonder whether Ken & Neal will be on site in case alternates are required; they're not in Vicenza this week.

Rotten draw for Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares. If the Skupskis are on site, it would be lovely if they made it in! Do you know where they would be in the list, SC?

Haven't a Scooby, I'm afraid, Spectator.  That was pure speculation (& wishful thinking! wink) on my part.  I don't even know where to look!

If MTF is to be believed, they're not on the list, I'm afraid.  cry

Yep.  Replaced by alternates (Nikoloz Basilashvili & Matt Reid).  cry

I'm not suprised. I think Dan was carrying some minor ailment when he played Robredo. He clearly ran out of gas, and this would not have been the case if he was 100% healthy.  I wonder if he plans much doubles for the rest of the season?

Not sure why Dan even enters doubles, hope he doesn't at Wimbledon, should be reserving everything for singles and whilst he's entered it's a distraction and if he ends up playing a round then eating into his reserves for his singles.

Dan entered one or two events with Nick K earlier in the season, both ended up in withdrawals if I recall correctly - I thought at the time it Nick K pulling out but maybe it was Dan? In which case totally agree, dont mess around, treat it with respect...

Dom + Haase lost the opening set 12-10 in a breaker but have just taken the 2nd 6-3. Into a decider.
