A bizarre match point with the umpire twice trying to say the ball had double bounced before Kuznetsova got to it but the players just ignoring him and carrying on. Then he gave up and just called game set match when the point was over.
All the best to Anna+. Some may consider that they lucked out, but as I mentioned she's just missed out on a MD place at least once before and it can't be fun hanging on for withdrawals. And it was a match that still needed to be won.

It wasn't an easy draw: Kalashnikova has won 3 WTA tour doubles titles, including one on clay; Soylu has won two WTA tour doubles titles, including one on clay, and also won the WTA Elite Trophy doubles title, too.
Their current rankings might be a bit low compared to their career highs, but if they were British, their records would mark them out as, at worst, 2 of our best 3 doubles players in the last 30+ years (depending upon where you rank Hev's 2 International & 1 Premier doubles titles against the comparable wins of these players)
