Hopefully Suzy can built on this, one point by itself as of now just adding to quite a number of spare "1"s.

Her R1 opponent though, as a top 300 player just last year, clearly has shown ability well above her current 500s ranking.

Shame, seemed like she ran out of steam or maybe picked up an injury. She lost a whole lot of points in a row early in the second set.

I would have thought it more likely that Okuno started to play better, having figured out what she needed to do, and went for it.

But the scores in the last couple of weeks for Suzy have been encouraging.
