Vandy, you raise a very serious and extremely important issue.
The point is, though, that it has nothing to do with Maxime Hamou.
In the same way as Oakie's equally very relevant point has - I sincerely hope - nothing to do with you (if you are a white male).
Just to add: Hamou has already got into trouble four times (at least) this tournament (this one by far the most serious and, as he's now banned, this'll be the end). The others have been for disrespecting the (male) umpire, scoffing crisps throughout a press interview, 'behaving disrespectfully' in another interview...... the boy's a prat. Even his coach says he a lot of work to do on 'behaviour'.
NB It wasn't helped that his interview with was for Henri Leconte's programme who was basically laughing out loud throughout - and is now issuing grovelling apologies too. (Leconte's 'reputation' with women is hardly exemplary).

I watched most of JWT and Renzo's match yesterday. It was an exciting encounter, but despite the occasional bit of scintillating play, the overall level very poor. I haven't looked at the stats, but the UE count must have been dire. A betting man would have Kyle as a comfortable favourite in the next round.
Schedule is out for tomorrow. Andy is 2nd match on Suzanne Lenglen, and Kyle is 3rd match on Court 6. Play starts at 10am UK time on both of those courts.
Player Banned from Roland Garros - Accreditation Revoked
Last year, I saw Maxime Hamou play futures in Murcia and I described him as "enigmatic and flamboyant". Well, the same Maxime Hamou has just been banned from entering the grounds at Roland Garros for trying to kiss a reporter during a post match interview.
I sincerely hope he learns his lesson and doesn't turn into another Ilie Nastase.
If he's had his accreditation revoked by the organisers, how come he & his playing partner, PHM, lost a first round doubles match to the ninth seeds, Bops & Cuevas, earlier? for the record, the score was 1 & 1.
I think you're confusing Mathias Bourgue with Max Hamou. Hamou wasn't in the dubs as far as I can see. Tomorrow is going to be a far more interesting day for the Brits, damn shame I have to work!

Probably because Bourge was playing with PHM
Post now deleted. I definitely need that long weekend in Brittany...
I didn't watch much of the first couple of sets, but from what I saw Vesely had too much power and made few errors. The third set continued in the same vein until (I think) 4-4. Vesely served and makes 3 UEs and then a DF. Aliaz served out to take the set. At the start of the 4th, it is clear that Vesely's level has dropped, maybe he is tired. Aliaz is into every service game and has brake points each time he returns. Jiri, who until this point has served only a couple of aces, gets out of jail multiple times with aces and big serves. Rather against the run of play, AB is broken. AB faces an MP, saves it and then has more chances to break back. A stand out opportunity is when he nets a relatively easy overhead. Had he made this, things would have been back on serve and I would have been unsuprised to see him to go on and win the match. Aliaz had a total of 9 break points in the 4th set. Both players were hitting extremely well off the ground, though Vesely had a greater weight of shot.
