I knew the French did that but I thought RG (meaning the tennis event) had lost the hyphen over the years. You're right, judging from the RG site, it hasn't, though none of the English language media seems to have realised this.
Would you really expect those (generally monolingual) peasants to know any better?
I take that back - partly: I've just seen a trailer on ITV for its coverage of the French Open which starts on ITV4 on Sunday. It referred to Roland-Garros.
Having a look at some of the Wimbledon qualies players of the women's side 'Maria the Cheata' might not have it as easy as she thinks. I hope the select few that get to watch her support whoever she plays and get under her skin.
Andy Murray v Andrey Kuznetsov - good starting draw
Kyle Edmund v Gastao Elias - winnable. Seems to play a lot of Portsguese does Kyle!
Dan Evans v Tommy Robredo - tough but Robredo not what he was
Aljaz Bedene v Ryan Harrison - good draw, should win

Definitely winnable and a decent draw. But don't underestimate Elias. He took out Del Potro in Lyon this week in reaching the QFs as a qualifier.

Should be minimum 2/4 through here. Elias another challenger player so good match up and chance to progress. Aljaz and Andy should win and Evo is Evo so anything is possible, the same true of Robredo.
L128: (1) Andy Murray WR 1 vs Andrey Kuznetsov (RUS) WR 85 (CH = 39 in April last year)
Head-to-head: 2-0 in Andy's favour (2 & 1 in the last 16 of the Beijing ATP 500 last year & 6-1 7-5 4-6 6-2 in the last 32 of the USO in 2014, so they've never met on the devil dirt).
L128: Kyle Edmund WR 50 (CH = 40 last October) vs Gastão Elias (POR) WR 125 (CH = 57 last October)
Head-to-head: 1-0 in Kyle's favour (1 & 3 in the last 128 of the Indian Wells Masters earlier this year).
L128: (PR) Tommy Robredo (ESP) WR 271 (CH = 5 in August 2006 - he's now 35) vs Dan Evans WR 55 (CH = 41 in March)
Head-to-head: 0-1 (Dan lost to him by 6-7(?) 1-6 6-4 5-7 in that memborable run he had to the last 32 of the USO in 2013).
L128: Aljaz Bedene WR 52 (CH = 45 in November 2105) vs Ryan Harrison (USA) WR 42 (= CH)
There is no head-to-head.

Thanks for posting this JonH. It was really useful when I was in a meeting and didn't have time/couldn't be seen to go through the draw on the site but still could manage to sneak a quick peak at your post.
And, yes, you can't ask for much better than all our three non-seeds also drawing non-seeds. And, although anyone can lose a mtach, there are no real banana skins there.
Read somewhere on Twitter Andy is recovering from another bout of illness but didn't really read it properly.
I think there is hope for all of them there about from Evans, Robredo is too good a clay courter... happy to be proven wrong!
There's an article by Stu Fraser in today's Times, under the heading "Murray's French Open illness scare", which says that he's been having to take antibiotics this week, but was "at least encouraged that he was still able to practise yesterday with Fernando Verdasco" & was described by a spokesman/woman as being "on the mend". There's also a little side piece that looks at when he could lose his N° 1 ranking (end of Wimbledon - depending on results in the next few weeks, NoDjo, Rafa & Stan the Man could leapfrog him on 17th July).

njoko is defending 2000 points in the French Open so if he slips up even loses the final he will probably be out of top 2
First two would be worth paying money to see. I think a lot of Tiafoe, but I don't think that he's up to Fabio Fognini's level ... not sure about that one (watch it turn out to be a corker!) And big question is whether Kyrgios, having been leapfrogged by Sascha Zverev, will pull his socks up and make use of his gifts ....
