Yeah I noticed that Stircrazy, he ll be in ideal condition.
Never underestimate the physical effect of transition from clay to grass. Can see him cantering that title. Similarly I can see both Stan and Rafa struggling again at Wimbledon. Can't see past Roger for Wimbledon again and he ll probably have more support than Murray too.

Gutting but true. Hopefully the crowd won't be as biased towards SmugFed as when they played their last Wimby final. Talk about a lack of patriotism from lots of them.

Andy's got more fans now, and a better public profile, so I hopefully they will support him more.

Just to add: Hamou has already got into trouble four times (at least) this tournament (this one by far the most serious and, as he's now banned, this'll be the end). The others have been for disrespecting the (male) umpire, scoffing crisps throughout a press interview, 'behaving disrespectfully' in another interview...... the boy's a prat. Even his coach says he a lot of work to do on 'behaviour'.

NB It wasn't helped that his interview with was for Henri Leconte's programme who was basically laughing out loud throughout - and is now issuing grovelling apologies too. (Leconte's 'reputation' with women is hardly exemplary).

It's not world-breaking tennis news but just to say that Maxime Hamou's assault on the 'Top Pr*t in French Tennis' prize marches one... and, unlike Paire for instance, who may well now have to concede his claim to the newcomer, Hamou doesn't even have the possible redeeming feature of playing top 50 tennis.

Jonathan Eysseric ('decent bloke') reports that, in his match yesterday against Hamou, he's honestly never seen such a lack of respect and correct behaviour - and against someone who's supposed to be a friend, as well. Hamou spent the whole first set (which he lost) shouting and screaming 'I'm playing so pathetically, anyone could beat me, it's a waste of time being here' etc. etc. And calling the kiné as often as possible for nothing. And then in the second, which he won, shouting 'vamos' at all of Jonathan's faults.

In the end, Eysseric won. Justice was done, he said. And Hamou is now wiped off his 'mates' list.
