Out of interest, does Wimbledon qualies get shown anywhere on TV, UK or overseas?

Steven posted it on Twitter. This year, for the first time ever ESPN are showing W-qualies.

But will they show it next year ?

This is the first decent consequence of her ban. But yes, does this mean the BBC will broadcast qualies in future years. If not, i will definitely hope for a periodic banning of the marketable one, just so Wimby qualies gets some love.

Can't see it on the Beeb website - just a story about Vika keeping her ranking on her return - with a link showing it's only SR, not actual - duh !!

Sounds like they will stream one court. I have never been to Roehampton, is there an obvious "centre court" or will they create one for the event? In the past when I have looked at the draw it hasnt been obvious that qualies has a specific show court but it may be me being naive!

No, there are 4 courts beside a bank on which people sit and on which they tend to put the Brits / more well-known players.  Other courts are all in a long line with not much space for viewing.

I'm not sure I want to see Shreiky bopping Brits. It would be nice to see any up and comings though like Ms Swan or Mr Clarke.

I wonder if they may need to create a bit more of a showcourt this year, perhaps with a small temporary stand to put the "big" names on and to allow for TV cameras etc? Who knows but I do like the idea of them showing matches on TV. Presumably BBC will use the red button/put them on the website as opposed to on a main channel?
