So far, with KD losing to KB in singles, GB are all-conquering in this tourney.
KB is up to 242 in live rankings, 217 if she wins the final. She has withdrawn from next week's 25k.
I'll be supporting Katie. I think that Laura has already done enough to bag herself the biggest prize of the year for most GB women - a Wimbledon MD appearance. If Katie wins tomorrow, I think they'll both get MD wildcards.

An interesting thesis. It will be an interesting match tomorrow either way. I'd like to see Katie make an impression in the early grass court tournaments too, but amongst the top GB players she has certainly had by far the biggest ranking improvement this year, with Gabi Taylor following behind in 2nd position.
Yes! Rooting for Laura in the final though, I think she needs it more. Well done to both.
Why? They've both had time out with injuries (and illness in Katie's case). Laura had all those WCs last year to top events and both have been given every support all their careers from the LTA. Wish them both well but I'm not sure I could say one was more deserving than the other.
A Boulter v Robbo final, I really don't care about the outcome as I have plenty of time for both players.
Robbo will get there, there have always been things she needs to work in in her game and prior to injury everything came very quickly to her, the fact that she is going through the process and has fully committed to it may allow her to set much firmer foundations for the best years of her career. My over riding hope is that she stays injury free.
And, likewise, don't care in the slightest who wins - the very best to both of them - and happy, healthy tennis !
But, assuming both are injury free, if I had to put money on my gut feeling of who WILL win (nothing to do with who I want to win), then I'd go for Katie (there will be more pressure on Laura).

Great stuff, most if not all their matches for the week are up on the tennis 366 channel on YouTube. One thing I've noticed about Katie, is that's she much more feisty than when I saw her last year, lots of come ons and a great desire to track more balls down.
I don't think we should get too carried away given the strength of the draw, but both are doing well, with Katie having the biggest upward curve this year. I'd agree Katie is very close to a Wimby MDWC now.
