So whatever was ailing Laura last week, clearly not sufficient for a withdrawal this week, so hopefully that's a postive sign as there are cheap points to be had again this week.
Also following Joss's split with Anna, it looks like the unbeaten duo from this years fedcup are going to join up for the summer grass court season, which makes a MDWC for Laura at Nottingham a much more likely possibility.

It will be good to see Laura and Joss together in doubles more often. I'm a bit worried Laura might be pushing it playing only a few days after having to retire through injury, but it's probably a good sign and the draws both this week and next week are lacking in high ranked opposition.
I was just thinking the same. You have to admire her, going round and building up her ranking the proper way. Hope she's also enjoying time slightly out of the limelight to get back her match fitness.
I agree, think she deserves a lot of credit for having stuck with the ITFs. I think she has proved quite a few people wrong including myself. It can't have been easy after the heady heights she was enjoying 4 years ago.
She's picked up 83 points from 11 tournaments this year (5 points from 4 tournaments non-counters), and the results have been getting better (with a couple of odd ones) as the tournaments get bigger. It's very good progress, and promises well for the grass-court season.
I see that Laura has withdrawn from next week's 25K.
Laura would have been top seed, but she does need to make sure her injury clears up so a sensible decision. I wonder if she will be able to fully commit to this week's tournament though, whilst at the same time managing the injury.
