Week 20 - Turkey F19 ($15,000) - Antalya (clay)

Slightly bizarrely, Ryan seems to be yet again the 'last man standing' in the men's this week.

Currently holding his own well against the top-500 Frenchman, leading 4-3*

And Ryan gets the first set 7-5

Unfortunately the Frenchman took the next two sets, which means...

(4) Jules Okala (FRA) WR 480 (= CH) beat. (SE) Ryan Storrie WR 1501 5-7 6-4 6-1

But it has got to be a positive that Ryan is mixing it with top 500 players. From what I've read he's a quick learner so hopefully these experiences will quickly translate to higher rank scalps.

Just updating the men's best 18 lists and noticed that Ryan now has 4 counters and got into the main draw in different ways for each one! Once as a wild card, once as a lucky loser, once as a qualifier and this week as a special exempt. Unless I've forgotten something, he only has the direct acceptance (hopefully soon), protected ranking (hopefully never needed) and the rare Alt method (e.g. 1st Alt for the main draw and someone withdraws from the main draw in between the qualifying draw and qualifying actually starting) to go!
