Yes, and with top athletes, the margins that it takes to be not quite right must be quite small. We'll see. Pity, though, whatever the cause - he must have hoped for so much more from this first five months!
Would second JonH. Saw Jack Sock play doubles at Wimbledon a few years ago, and think (from the bits I've seen online) he's improved since then. The need to stay away from his forehand puts opponents under pressure; his backhand has improved; and he has terrific hands at the net. He's one of the players whom I'd now regard as meaning that a partnership is a threat, whoever the second partner may be.
At least these results help out with Andy's points drop. Could just do with that other winner losing today but think that's unlikely. Crossing everything. Good luck Delpo's wrist!
Djoko destroyed Thiem and delpo back to back. Reports suggest he is playing like he should do, be interesting to see how zverev does.
Looking at results on clay, Rg winner seems to sit between Nadal and djoko with Thiem and zverev sitting as outsiders who could go far - possible semis? But can't see anyone outside the big 2. Andy for last 16? Or 32?
Only a matter of time before Zverev wins a Slam. Hell, he's got to have better odds than Murray for Roland Garros. Think he'll be one of the ones to sweep up once Murray, Djokovic and co. retire (or at this rate, just completely fall apart).
Zverev's time may indeed come in Slams but it is a big step and it is no surprise at all to me that bet365 currently favour Andy over Sascha with Dominic Thiem the more likely breakthrough Slam winner.
Do wonder if seeing Sascha putting it together might prompt Kyrgios to get serious. I still believe NK is the most talented young player on the tour and if he can mature and start treating Tennis as his priority I think he can be the dominant player of the next ten years. I certainly find the prospect of Nick and Sascha battling it out for supremacy appealing after the big 4 fade and until recently no young players really threatened to interest me.
