So did I, but I suppose he's still acclimatising to the step-up. Disappointing nevertheless.
I thought he was going to win easily early on when he almost went a double break up. He was serving for the 1st set when I had to go to sleep so I was surprised to see the final score in the morning. Still, he hasn't done much wrong recently!

8 games in a row - he has won 84% of his service points (winning the last game with only his 1st ace) and 65% on return, including all 11 of the points on Saville's 2nd serve
He breaks again, to love - 6-0 *3-0, now up to 68% on return.
Meanwhile, Sarmiento has taken the 1st set against Joe 6-2

Some deeply disturbing comments on Jay's loss. To say they've had me tossing and turning all night would be a supreme understatement. Horrid 1000 ranked players don't simply pitch up to Challengers and play at a significantly higher level, which appears to be the premise for scores of earlier posts on here. It is a misguided notion that many on here would do well do disabuse themselves of.
