Katie closing in on last month's CH, she needs one more win I think.

Laura was *2-4 down against Birrell but has just won 3 games in a row to make it 5-4*

Laura had treatment for what looked like a back injury at 3-4* but then recovered to win the next 3 games.

Birrell started very well but has started to make errors, Laura not playing especially well.

Laura catching a lot of ball tosses this set, but in mitigation it is windy enough to blow over the umbrellas shading the players.

 

Laura wins 6-4 6-3, she improved in the 2nd set and barely dropped a point on serve.
