Just it does seem to have been on the cards early, MTF stating and apparently Twitter suggesting that he had been out for days, but without detail, and certainly not from our man whose apparent only reference to Madrid was he was looking forward to watching the Tiebreak Tens.
I had read that he had signed up for Lyon in the week before Roland Garros, but then to miss a Masters on his best surface is concerning ( well for those who are ever concerned about Kyle )
Kyle is on the Lyon list, for qualies only though, signed up too late for main draw. He is still on Rome list and indeed in the doubles also in Rome with Dan as his partner!
Dan smashed his racket after losing his serve to go 5-6 down in first set as he had already recovered a break from Haase second set seemed error strewn with big serves from Haase
Reasons to not be concerned re Andy: from the ATP site:
Murray is the top seed in Madrid for the first time and comes in with a 15-5 record in 2017 (3-2 on clay). Last year, he was 13-4 with no titles entering Madrid. He went on to reach the Madrid final and end the season on a 65-5 run with an ATP World Tour-best nine titles.
