This is proving to be a real struggle. Kyle was up a double break and serving for the match at *5-2. At least 1 MP has come and gone, but Kyle has lost his last two service games and now we are back to 5-5*
Well that's a shocker. Kyle has lost in a 3rd set breaker. I didn't see that coming. I know that Kyle is making some changes to his game right now and maybe that is affecting his confidence, but from *5-2 up against a player ranked around 250 ? He was clearly out of sorts at times last week in Barcelona against Thiem.
All I can say is that every player will suffer tough periods on their route to the top. Kyle's progress has been remarkably consistent over the last 5 years so I guess there was always going to be a difficult period somewhere along the line. I just didn't expect it to come on his favourite surface at this time of year.
Keep the faith Bob. Kyle will get his mojo back.

I imagine Kyle will stick to the main tour for the rest of the clay season and the grass season at the very least. Aljaz's return to form after a brief (albeit rankings-determined) stint on the challenger tour though does show how winning breeds confidence and can help a player get back on track.
