Great to see a three set win for Laura, especially as it looks like she was struggling a bit with her serve in the third. It looks like Lin has had more success in doubles this year so it will be interesting to see what happens.

Good for Laura to get the win. Nothing really in Kang's record to suggest she should really have been troubling Laura except one could say that of rather too many players that Laura has lost to. More tennis and wins are good, and maybe even get that serve consistent for a whole match.

Lin does look a step up, but Laura can certainly step up and more often than not does so against better players.

Just when we thought Laura might be back to winning ways, Lin is about to serve for the match, 6-3 5*-2....

Looks like Laura dropped serve to go 3-0 down early on, broke back for 2-3 but then went downhill again....

Katy and Glushko have just made the doubles final - taking out the Japanese-Australian pair 6-4 7-6(4). Hopefully this will boost Katy's confidence in singles so she can perform well over the next couple of weeks (and the extra cash can't hurt).
