Pity, but another point, decent looking R2 effort, up to probably just into the top 900 on Monday week as she steadily climbs, and more experience.

I feel Jodie has gone about things the right way, moved on seemingly almost exclusively to seniors in her final junior eligible year taking with her what JEs she earned rather than hang about another year in juniors, pushing up that ranking and getting improved JEs ( which depending on how well she does this year and early next year in seniors would be of debatable use ). The most important thing though I feel is a year in seniors against another year, albeit probably more tennis, in juniors. Emotions can also get the better of Jodie at times, encountering difficult situations in seniors earlier should help her develop in that area too

Jodie may well play further junior Slams and possibly lead up events to these, fair enough, but hopefully no more.

Emily Appleton in going to college is in a very different situation and so her mixing in many more junior tournaments seems fair enough.
