Week 18 - ITF ($15K) - Karshi, Uzbekistan Hard

I think Camille is entered in Antalya next week. I'm not sure there is another event in Karshi.

Thanks, I had it as Antalya in my own notes but failed to copy it across onto the web page.

QR2: Camille VERDEN ANDERSON (GBR) UNR v. Maria Virginia BOSCH (ARG) UNR (=CH)
Bosch is 6-21 in her singles career, which stretches back to 2014; all in $10/15K qualifying save for 1 MD appearance after coming though an event that had a single round of qualification. She lost that MD match.

Jodie's 5th counter from 8 outings in 2017, and none of those were freebies just for turning up; she had to win matches to earn those points.
She next plays someone who is not even the best female player in her family.

R16: Jodie Anna BURRAGE (GBR) 947 v. Yana MORDERGER (GER) [4] 540 (CH 535, Apr. 2017)
Yana evidently likes Antlaya. It's her 13th event here in the last 6 months. She won a $15K in Antalya in February, beating her sister in the final. Best result since then has been a QF in $15K.

Although none were 'freebies', some were on her JE card.
But that's good - i.e. shows how the JE is supposed to be used and great to see Jodie taking advantage of it so that she's now pretty much main draw material as of right and won't need to bother with qualis.

However ranking up to 600 have to qualify even in 15K in 2017. So difficult to get into md. Need to choose wisely!
