Play has been abandoned for the day and the completion of Liam's match has been rescheduled for tomorrow. One positive from this is that he should now be eligible for an SE into next week's main draw and hence miss a potential 3 rounds of qualies.

It would be even better if Liam could close this match out though for so many reasons. Apart from the points, it would do his confidence a world of good.

Bad time for the rain, was well in control when the rain came. Hope he can finish it off tomorrow, that is as good as I've seen him play in a very long time!

Real opportunity missed, Liam dominated from 3-2 to 4-4 but could not break through with Kravchuk saving 7 BPs. From 40-15 up at 4-4 it all went horribly wrong and he lost 7-6 5-7 4-6. Great effort though and a very encouraging week.
