Not to say I lack faith in Liam but I was afraid it was some sort of error with the ATP app when I first saw the scoreline. Bemelmens won his 1st round match with an identical scoreline even down to the points in the tiebreak so I was desperately looking for another source to verify the result was real. Chuffed for Liam as this is exactly what he needs right now.
Brydan is first alt on the RG qualies list, presumably he would comfortably get in once players start to withdraw, assuming he wants to play Paris of course!

I would have thought he'd turn up, even if it's just for the money.
Not sure if 3500 euros will clinch that deal if he has other plans and prospects.
Cameron, at WR 239 is not in the initial top 15 alts ( probably #20 ). Although Brydan will no doubt be in if we wants I think Leon Smith may have been a tad optimistic when he said at Davis Cup that he expected Cam to make French Open qualifying. Time will tell, but that's a lot to drop out.
at that time, he might have expected Cam to have actually played some matches - how long has it been since he last played? - he isn't going to score any points just sitting on his butt
Well for good or bad Cam has been playing college finals tennis as I expect was always in his plans before turning full time to the pro circuit. Those rather more into the US college scene will know more.
Brydan played Indonesia to get his ranking up for RG, so I'm pretty sure he plans to play.
Anyway it's that time of the year when he changes bases and moves back to London.

Duh, I was forgetting that, having commented at the time of these futures what good planning it seemed !
