Yep, I've too stated sentiments along those lines for Liam about this year.
Imo Corrie is a tennis hobbyist and just plays for fun. And nothing wrong with that if you can finance it somehow. If he later becomes a coach, he'll have much better playing credentials than many of them in Britain who boast of having played in the pro's. It's nice to be able to watch a guy you know isn't going to fly into a rage if a match is going against him. Tennis is all good if you're Ed Corrie. Tour the world and play tennis because you like doing so.

Some good points there, I'm all for guys playing for fun as I know a few lower down the rankings do this without any false hope of becoming the next Federer etc. I always think along financial lines though and Ed plays at a loss / break even at best and at his age he should be earning money at something, but for all we know he may have another source of income? Ed is frustrating because he is capable of playing great tennis as he did at Drummondville last year but far to rarely. I also look at people like David Rice and Josh Milton who played for far too long and I feel wasted a couple of years of their lives.

Really pleased for Liam. Let's hope he can take his form through another couple of rounds at least, although I think Bemelmens will be a tougher opposition.
On a different note, a couple of us have commented on separate threads that Jay wasn't playing this week even though his stated plan was to play this group of Challengers. I, for one, was worried that his injury might have been more serious than previously thought.
However, Jay is tweeting from the tournament where he has been practicing, so it looks like he is close to full fitness again and hopefully will be competing next week. It will be an interesting exercise to see how he can step up to the next level, given his remarkable run of form recently.

... or maybe not, as the case may be.
That's a terrific win for Liam. I think he should take up residency in South Korea. It clearly suits his game.
