Ah, Harriet vs Sara Tomic. Be interesting to see how that one goes. I wouldn't recommend Harriet offering to hit with her before the match if her Dad's around.
The Japanese player (born 1998) has a fit, technically very good game - you can see why she was such a good junior - and it's no surprise that she's doing well in adults
But Harriet is a lot more aggressive, standing well, well in - on both first and second serves - and going for the lines, and coming in to the net to finish the point (which she does very well, unlike a lot).
Harriet has made real efforts to change her game over the last couple of years, trying to move on from a very successful junior strategy of no mistakes and wait for your opponent's errors. I thought it all came together for her in the Wimby Q event last year and really pleased to hear she is sticking with it.
