They had an MP at [10-9], which was the only point in the match that they were ahead in it.
They did not take it, but lost the next three points.

QF: Dart/Simmonds (GBR/RSA) [1] 699 lost to Al Nabhani/Muramatsu (OMA/JPN) 1192 4-6 7-5 [10-12]

Harriet will just have to win 'only' the singles then.

Ah, Harriet vs Sara Tomic. Be interesting to see how that one goes. I wouldn't recommend Harriet offering to hit with her before the match if her Dad's around.

Thanks for that, jb - watched 10 mins, will catch up with more alter. Cheers.

In today's match, Harriet has lost the first set in a tie-break.

And is 1-3 down in the second.

And on livestream.....

The Japanese player (born 1998) has a fit, technically very good game - you can see why she was such a good junior - and it's no surprise that she's doing well in adults

But Harriet is a lot more aggressive, standing well, well in - on both first and second serves - and going for the lines, and coming in to the net to finish the point (which she does very well, unlike a lot).

Is back at 3-3

But seems very windy there - it's not easy.

Absolutely nip and tuck. Harriet has saved 1 MP (that I know of).

And now just broken to lead *6-5

Go Harriet!!

Harriet has made real efforts to change her game over the last couple of years, trying to move on from a very successful junior strategy of no mistakes and wait for your opponent's errors.  I thought it all came together for her in the Wimby Q event last year and really pleased to hear she is sticking with it.

Harriet is 0-2 down.

But nothing has really changed - it's still all hanging on very fine margins.
