Missing players

Was just having a think about some players we haven't seen in a while

Jazzi Plews. I know she had double wrist surgery but any news?

Anastasia Mikheeva. Hasn't played since November 2015. Was right up there with the best of our juniors.

Eleanor Dean. Seems to have vanished again since February.

Out of the 3 above only Anna was a tennis player. The other two let's just call it a hobby.

I was led to believe Anna Brogan had quit tennis altogether a few months back I'm sure there was an online comment about it somewhere I ll see if I can find it.

Anna Brogan. There's a name. Had totally forgotten about her.

I do worry about Eleanor. A few of us noted at different venues the off court limp even when competing in events.

Fran Stephenson is another ?

I'd say not call it a hobby for players no doubt trying to be the best they could be in the pro ranks.

I think this comment is out of keeping with the spirit of this board - a place which celebrates and supports British tennis endeavours at every level and from juniors upwards.  Thankfully it's not an uncritical place but neither do I feel it should become a home for glib offhand comments just rubbishing and dismissing players efforts - even if they don't ultimately rock the tennis firmament.  There are other forums geared up for that.

So maybe Jazzi will come back to the tour after graduating then?
