It's Álvaro Blanco Damea - 19 years old, played a few qualifiers last year, but only got through once

I know, but "Damea" is the matronymic, i.e. his mother's maiden name, so there's no formal requirement to use it & I deliberately omitted it.  TeniSpain certainly doesn't & I've said this before countless times, but I'll say it again:  if it's good enough for TeniSpain, it's sure as hell good enough for me!   wink

Ahh, but the alternative argument, SC, is that when a player registers on ITF they have to fill out their details.

And if the player fills it in with both surnames, then that is obviously their choice, and they want both surnames, and should be respected.

So if it's good enough for them, and it's their name, after all, then it's good enough for (some of) us

Precisely, that is how he is listed on the ATP and ITF websites, as the shorter name didn't come up on the search

Steven reporting on twitter that Billy has qualified so maybe the ITF got the result the wrong way around.

Yes. ITF have reversed the score. Billy has qualified - and drawn a seed. Isn't that a surprise.

This result may go some way towards giving Bob's spirits a lift:
