First set gone, 3-6
Jo only won 29% on first serve
She had more BP in the set though, so perhaps some chance if she can get her own serve back to normal function.

R16: (WC) Johanna KONTA (GBR) [6] 7 lost to Anastasija SEVASTOVA (LAT) 26 3-6 5-7

Serve perked up in set 2, and was a break up in it. 3/10 on BP compaerd to Sevastova's 5/8.
At keast this avoids a rematch with Romania, as Halep would have been next - apparently they shared the plane from Constanta to Stuttgart together, and Simona was 'conciliatory'.

Anna & Naomi play in the last match of the night.

As the schedule has run long, Naomi & Anna have been moved from the show court, but are now under way on the secondary court, 1-1*

Oh, and, though it was avoided in the singles qualifying here, today in the opponents is a certain young Latvian. Take cover everyone...

Run Long? The evening session started on time, and then the first match was a 6-2 7-5 score, then halfway through the first set of the second match they move the doubles. What was the point in scheduling it there in the first place? Now there's no stream. Useless...
