4 losses in a row since that excellent Q+QF run in Guadalajara (counting the QF loss there as no. 1) but he has taken a set in each of them.
Weber appears to have been at college in the US but didn't start there until he was 21, having spent time at university in France before that. He played his first Futures match only two months ago at the age of 24 so may well be headed for a significantly higher ranking than he has at present.
That may well be true, Steven. And you may be being gracious and generous (which is a good thing!).
But Weber did lose in qualifying in the previous three ITFs, only made R1 of the one before in Indonesia (although did make the QFs in his first one).
It's hardly stellar....although maybe he took this 'home opportunity' to really get going :(
Far be it from anyone to suggest Weber isn't a top player but if you search his name, the top results are a German Engineering firm and a 19th Century German cardiologist.

Fair enough, I just meant that he didn't have a full-year ranking.
Re. skibbarriz's point - Weber is a pretty common name in German, so no surprise there!
Anyway, I wouldn't deny that both Lloyd and Scott have had a rotten start to the year, at least in singles (apart from the former's Challenger run a few weeks ago), though even Scott has now picked up more points this year than no less than 5 of the GB top 25 men, who have yet to get off the mark in 2017.
It's just as bad on the women's side, even though it tends to be easier to pick up a single WTA point beause you don't necessarily have to win a match - 5 of the GB top 26 women have failed to pick up a WTA singles point so far this year.
