I'm not sure what happened to Leeds against us (QPR) but we comprehensively outplayed them and weren't flattered by the 4-0 scoreline.

Certainly their management/players hadn't done their homework against us and basically yielded us the midfield, which was crazy as we're a ball-playing team albeit not at the same level as Leicester and Ipswich.

I don't think teams deserve to go up because of history/size etc though. It has to be on merit. As they already have the advantage of parachute payments and a largely Premiership team, they really should be out-gunning teams like Ipswich who only got promoted last year from League One. Whoever gets in the top three after an incredibly competitive tournament this year thoroughly deserves it. And if it's Ipswich, I'll be celebrating with them because they'll have achieved something absolutely phenomenal. They may only stay up one season or they may even do a Fulham, Brentford, Brighton or Bournemouth and cling on. It's good for all football in my opinion if we have smaller teams living the dream. Nothing is more boring than Man City winning the Prem every season with their billion pound team and FFP infringements.

A colleague of mine, his brother is the Ipswich head of recruitment. Joined Man Utd as an intern, having played only football manager online. did a good job and ipswich recruited him and promoted him. Dont think hes ever played footie but he knows data and stats

That's fascinating Jon. Our new CEO came from an analytics background and it's shown to be a better way of assessing players in many instances than scouting alone. Brentford based their scouting on stats and it ended up taking them from League 1 to the Prem because they unearthed some hidden talents that they then sold to buy new young players which enabled them to eventually win the Championship.

Your colleague's brother has done an absolutely terrific job. I bet he'll be scouted himself at some stage, like Chelsea swiped Brighton's entire recruitment and scouting team.

Ill need to look it up but my colleague is called Williams. This is his brother

 Thanks Jon.

Bizarrely, Sam Williams has literally just got head hunted back to Man Utd!!

INEOS obviously fancied his skills for their 17-21 year old recruits!

Leeds were impressive last night. Archie Gray was awesome. He will be in the England or Scotland squad soon, Im sure. If Leeds dont go up, surely premier teams will be sniffing around? Although hes a local lad, of course, so maybe he would t be swayed.

Either way, best if Leeds go up.

Come on Leeds!

Hoping beyond hope that Sunak's football team (Southampton) score as many own goals on Sunday as his marketing team already has in this election campaign.

Leeds would win by a landslide.

Proof that everyone hates Leeds:

This goal DIDN'T win Goal of the FA Cup Season

This goal DID.

To quote Phil Hay - reporter with The Athletic:

"An astonishing number of people despise Leeds United or what Leeds United stand for. But this club was never made for them."

This picture was taken after Uruguay knocked Brazil out on penalties in the Copa America last night.

For a couple of years, we at Leeds United were truly blessed.

Forgot Bielsa was Uruguay manager now! And hadnt seen that result!

more blessed than Leeds was The Candy Shop opposite my primary school in Wetherby where he rented a dingy flat whilst at Leeds and Costa Coffee in the town which he used as his meeting place!

Football is back and Leeds open their pre-season with a 3-0 win at Harrogate (Sorry Jon).

We may have sold Archie Gray to Spurs, but his younger brother Harry Gray made his 1st team debut tonight at just 15 years old.

This tweet sums up perfectly what has been going on behind the scenes with regard to the Gray transfer

Haha, no surprise really - Harry ( like Archie) is a local harrogate lad so would have enjoyed that! I went past the ground and saw all the security etc outside - most of the harrogate fans are also Leeds fans so no real need for any security!

About to have my annual football season bet and thinking about wasting money on Leeds again. I think they are the favourites so what is the inside story please Leeds fans?

Our starting XI is as strong, if not stronger than last season despite the departure of Gray, Summerville and Kamara.  We need a bit more depth in certain areas and will need to sign 2 or 3 more players IMO.  The return of Pascal Struijk from injury at CB which also allows Ampadu back into midfield is massive for us.

Strong rumours about Jonathan Rowe from Norwich as direct replacement for Summerville.  England U21 international and would be an amazing addition. Negotiations are at an advanced stage but a couple of PL clubs sniffing around who could hijack the deal.  After that, one more attacking midfielder and an extra back up FB and we're cooking on gas.

Had a great pre-season winning 5 from 5, including a win over Valencia in the last match.  Not saying we will run away with the league as there are other good teams, but I am predicting automatic promotion this season. Bookies have us as favourites and they are not often wrong.

Tip:  Watch out for Mateo Joseph.  Will be our top scorer having moved up from U21s.
