Leeds United

Very impressed so far. Can they keep this tempo up?

Usual leeds approach, often  leave it late to score. Fingers crossed.

David O'Leary still has a house half a mile from us in harrogate,  as an aside.

1-0 to the Arsenal...darn. good match though, Leeds still in it. Bournemouth next up would be appealing.

Happy with that. Showed in the 1st half how well we can play. Arsenal upped their tempo in the 2nd and their star players showed why they are individually on more money than the whole Leeds team. In the end it came down to one scramble and a fluffed shot that dribbled in.

Now we can focus on the league. Only down side might be Ayling as they mentioned "hamstring" when he went off, but he was walking around OK at the end and not on the treatment table.

Still need to strengthen the squad though.

Agreed. robbie gotts is a harrogate lad, played in my sons junior team, albeit 3 years difference.

Did pretty well for a debut performance. Have to say as well though that Messlier in goal was a revelation.

Ben White adding a couple more million to his price was good for me to see as well!

Big Yorkshire derby today against Sheffield Weds. Gary Monk back at Elland Road - he did a good job for us when he was there. Best news of all is that Hernandez and Shackleton are back and on the bench.

Oh, and for good measure, Gareth Southgate is in the house.

Gareth lives locally, near harrogate. Saw him in harrogate last night at a local restaurant in fact. Not sure he saw me though!

I was hoping this would finally be the year they got back up to the PL, still might be, but that lead over 3rd has reduced significantly in recent weeks.

 Never make it simple. Onwards.

Collywobbles seem to have set in since they threw away a 3-0 lead after an hour at home to Cardiff in December.

It's interesting ( maybe not the word their ans would use ) but I would kind of like to see them ultimately get the job done this season.
