Ohhhhh VERY bad news... Mandy is out, despite being a set and break up .... cry cry

And the way she retired in the middle of a game whilst serving does NOT sound good news at all...

There had been several MTOs in Mandy's previous matches this week.

Hope that she makes a full and speedy recovery; but I would presume that the doubles final is out of the picture, too.

cryIt may explain her seemingly rather underpowered serve in this match... But still, yes, I hope she is not out for too long either, but I guess that's put paid to any hopes of French Open qualifying sadly. I think its going to be surprising if she plays in the 60k for which she is entered next week.

Bah, really sad that any hope of French Open qualifying should be taken away from Mandy like that ( assuming she is out of next week's 60K and even if not it would now need s lot ). Today's match was clearly winnable and then the glimmer would have been brightening further.

Now just hope that it isn't too serious and she's back playing again soon.

Right wrist.

Photo she posted on Instagram looks like a fairly heavy guard/strapping.

I'm hoping it's maybe a sprain, perhaps from a fall, but we'll need to wait and see.
