Mandy has now also scored more points in 2017 to date than Ms. Robson, from 2 fewer tournaments.
Yes, but is she any good on clay
Though Mandy at least has a chance to play the 60K tournament next week, which could yet be vital for her French Open qualifying ambitions.
She has at least played on clay. None of our 3 possible singles players have played a single match on it this year (partly due to the time of the year. At least backup Katie S played in weeks 2 & 3 on clay in Daytona and Orlando - though she only won one match, and lost each time to a lower ranked player.

Yes, for me there is no contest between who I would rather have on clay at the moment - Mandy or Laura. However, as Indy notes, Mandy is probably better off staying here next week and playing in a 60k on the maybe, just maybe off chance...

Tough draw. Arconada top junior and flying up the senior rankings.
Arconada, JCH 5 at age 16 and now 18, was WR 443 at the end of the 2015 season and WR 345 at the end of the 2016 season and been playing a lot of senior tennis. So I would question her "flying" over the last year or so.
