Week 15 - Tunisia F14 ($15,000) - Hammamet (clay)

Correct decision to forfeit doubles. I assume he uses doubles as almost like a training session which to be fair it is at this level. Bigger fish to fry.

points gained for SF and a bit of prize money for Curtis - no point playing after a long 3 setter

Great grafting QF win, he really could do with dominating this cohort of futures players making moving to challengers natural progression as opposed to a step up. Stepping back from the doubles makes a lot of sense.

Yay Jay

Into the GB top 10 on Monday week at ( the resting ) Marcus's expense, will go #9 ahead of Lloyd if he wins the title this week, probably just posponed if not. And in line to take Liam soon unless Liam gets his defences very much into gear. Probably a SF win away from the top 400.

Can see Jay overtaking them all Indiana. Doubt we ll see Liam or Lloyd break the 300 this year and almost no chance of Marcus doing that with his part-time schedule and Wimbledon points to defend.

Oh dear. Jay lost the 1st set 6-1 and then promptly retired. That is not good news.

If you are reading this Yasmin, I hope he is OK. Please let us know.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the kind comments as always. Jay had a nasty fall at DC, not been 100% since then. Going to rest and recover next week ready for Korea.

Thanks for the info. He did pretty well this week for someone who wasn't 100%! I'm glad it wasn't a sudden serious injury, anyway, and good luck for recovery and for Korea.

That Leon bloke can be a really hard task master eh ?  wink

Glad Jay has nothing serious. A bit of R&R before Korea is probably a good thing anyway.

Hmm, so Jay meets up with our existing top players and has a "nasty fall".

Where for instance was Kyle at the time ? He is well known for his disreputable tactics in getting into the minds of opponents and getting them defaulted or penalised points. I like to look upon him as the quiet assassin

Seriously, thanks Yasmin and I do hope Jay recuperates well.

Well you never know, perhaps Kyle feels a bit threatened by these up and coming youngsters, you could be on to something there Indy.....wink

Seriously though, as previously stated, thanks for the info Yasmin and hope Jay is fully recovered for Korea.
