Solid scores from both Ali and Gemma. Gemma beating 8th seed in straight sets. Good score from Ali also, although not in straight it was a good third set score.

Gemma and Esther play seed 2 in dubs tomorrow. Ali and Emma lost 6-4 6-4 dubs.
The partnership Esther and Gemma are playing tomorrow beat Eleanor and her Spanish partner today 6-3 6-2.

Yet again, especially given the training camp, the results are rather disappointing:

Shaline-Doreen Pipa (GER) def. Ali Collins 6-3 6-7(5) 6-2

R2

Jack Draper def. Mateus Alves (BRA) 6-4 7-5

Adrian Andreev (BUL) def. Barnaby Smith 6-2 6-4

Only Jack left....

Sad to see both girls going out in 3 sets. All of the Brit girls are out of both singles and doubles as Gemma and Esther lose 5-7 3-6 against seed #2.

Well, Mr Draper can hope that the WC Rafael has 'left' his good 'luque' behind after the previous match. (Sorry. Doesn't quite work, I know. But I couldn't help trying!)

Just a quick 'good luck' in passing to Ireland's Simon Carr who has been mentioned a fair bit in various junior threads and has made the final of this Grade 2.
