Week 13 - Challenger ($75,000+H) - León, Mexico (hard)

QR1:  (qWC) Mauricio Reséndiz (MEX) WR 1559 (CH = 1305 last October) vs (q8) Liam Broady WR 322 (CH = 158 in August 2015)

QR1:  (q3) Adrián Menéndez (ESP) WR 280 (CH = 111 in June 2015) vs Lloyd Glasspool WR 415 (CH = 282 last July)

Lloyd, of course, beat the Spaniard by 2 & 4 in the first round in Guadalajara last week.  Let's hope he can repeat that feat.

Watched the entirity of Liam's match. Should have had it done in two but had a terrible few games from *5-4 to 1-1 in the second. Much to his credit he played well after that!

Liam lost in the FQR, 6-2 5-7 6-4. Here's hoping for a late LL spot to open up for him.

Liam got a lucky loser place, but ...

L32: (LL) Liam Broady WR 322 v (SE) Denis Shapovalov (CAN) WR 194 (=CH)

Liam actually leads the H2H 1-0, having thrashed Shapo 4 & 0 in Gatineau just over a year ago but the Canadian has reached the final at his last two Challengers, winning Drummondville then finishing as the runner-up in Guadalajara this week, so I can't see Liam handing out any bagels this time.

Rough draw but at least he got in and has a chance to do something. Come on Liam!
