Really good to see three of our lesser ranked players making strides.
Eden seems to have come on bundles in the last 18 months, just need to see her playing more regularly.
Manisha similarly, needs to get a full season in.
Laura Sainsbury i really like and she is way underranked.

All three are very capable of breaking into the top 500.

It's time for Laura vs. Eden to decide the final spot: Eden 1-0*

Eden squeezed into the MD direct, didn't need to suffer the schedule consequences as a hangover from last week, and has a normal play pattern this week.
All of that must be giving a slight advantage over Manisha in the last round, and Laura here.
Still, impressive opening set there from Eden, with no BP conceded, and she takes the lead, 6-1.

Eden makes the final in the first week of her return!
Good week from Laura, and plenty to build on, and still a shot at the doubles later.

Two unseeded Spaniards play in the second semi-final to determine the opponent for Eden.

Eden ran away with the match. I thought it may have been closer.

Now go and win a maiden ITF title.

The second set was closer than 6-2 suggests, but it's very difficult to get your limbs going after so much effort on the preceding day.

Absolutely. She must have been stiff as a board today, as well as the mental problems of trying to re-ignite the flame after such an amazing day yesterday.

And Eden is obviously playing well....

Laura's doubles final takes place after rest not before 2.

So she has already played two matches today and her opponents are fully rested!

The Spaniards slugged it out for well over three hours, so hopefully that will play a little to Eden's favour tomorrow.
